Apple A Day

I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying, “An apple a day will keep the doctor away.”  But when considering an afternoon treat or drink that allows for sustained thinking and alertness, an apple might prove more effective than a cup of coffee or cookie.  Apples are packed with natural sugars that allow alertness without the fear of the caffeine crash.  Next time your feeling a little sleepy an hour or two before rush hour traffic, grab an apple, your adrenal glands will thank you for it!
